House oversight hearing devolves into shouting match over DOGE, ‘President Musk’

The hearing of the House Surveillance and Liability Committee on Tuesday had to discuss billions of dollars in government waste established by the Government’s Liability Office (Gao), but for the first time he moved to chaos when one Democrat repeatedly referred to the leader Government Efficiency Department (Doge) as “President of Musk” and President Donald Trump as “Main Grift”.

A member of Gerry Connolly, D-Wa, fired, criticizing the Republican monitoring plan of what he considered to be indulgent with the Trump administration.

“The sins of the omission in this plan are damn,” Connolly claimed. “My amendment would bring back the appropriate role of the committee as a guard, not Lapdog.”

“We have a hearing about waste, frauds and abuse that have not even started,” Comer said. “The organizational matter usually lasts five or 10 minutes. We were 35 minutes here by discussing the same things … We have to get to work. If we want to eliminate waste, fraud and abuse, we have witnesses.
