Russia’s supporter candidate Kilin Georgesku, who won the first round of the canceled vote last year, took police to interrogate.

Georgesku’s official Facebook page says that in May one of the elections, he was selected on the way to the far-right politician who filed a papers for the competition.

Romanian media reports that he was brought to question as suspect for anti -anti -law violation. A lawyer for Georgesku did not immediately respond to any request for the comment.

“They want to prove the justification for theft of election and to discover the evidence to do something to block my new candidacy for the President,” said a post on the politician’s Facebook page. “Where is democracy?”

The Romanian authorities were canceled last year’s election for the intervention of the Russians for Georgesku, whose first round victory has shocked the country’s political establishment.

However, they have not yet been able to provide specific evidence and this month, the United States Vice-President JD Vans has condemned the decision as an indication of European backsliding over democracy.

This is a developing story
