Governor of Virginia Glenn Youngkin seems to follow the promises to help federal workers find new employment after their job reduced the Ministry of Government Efficiency or Doge.
A Republican governor has announced a new website to help them find employment at the Virginia Government at Virginiahasjobs.com.
“We’re taking care of you,” Youngkin said at the One Main Center in McLean. “And we have a support system to help you find the next great opportunity.”

The new website is described as “Federal workers Support package. “Youngkin says the place is designed to help federal employees go into new roles if they” experience the dislocation of the job. ”
“We have openings in the State Government, and they will find a connection on our website to find these opportunities,” Youngkin.
The web site will connect those who seek employment with the sources of work and regions, as well as enter the really LinkedIn.
“Take advantage of resources that will help you find your way to that career of your dreams,” adding: “I actually have extraordinary empathy according to the fact that there are many workers in Virginia today, from our federal workforce, who are experiencing real concerns,” added Youngkin .

Democrats in Virginia have noted that they believe that Youngkin supports the president, not defending Virginia.

“Great websites and slogans cannot conceal their political capitulation and governor who has turned their backs on their voters when they need it most,” said the leader of most Senate Scott A. Surovell, D-Fairfax.
Youngkin did not deny that he supported recent Doge cuts, stating that he believed they were key.

“We have a federal government that is ineffective and we have an administration that accepts this challenge, exploitation of waste, fraud and abuse and efficiency of launching in our Federal Government” and “that must happen,” he said.
However, Youngkin believes that “federal labor force is not guilty here.”

“But reality,” he said, “is that any executive director who enters the position where there is an organization that had such deep financial challenges will have to change.”
Virginia is the home of one of the largest population of federal employees with over 144,000, according to December 2024 Congress report. This number increases significantly when you add passengers working in Washington, DC and Maryland, increasing to over 300,000.
