Controversial remarks were presented during the Congress Conference for the Progressive MP at a conference for greedy billions, and critics quickly scored Jayapal. Some even compared her remarks with dedication to slave labor or a recessed service, emphasizing the mistreatment of illegal immigrants.

This is not the first time Jayapal has given remarks about the United States -in relying on illegal immigrant work. In 2023, she was criticized for saying that illegal immigrants were needed to “choose the food we eat”, “Clean our homes” and “Renew our communities after climate disaster.”

Jayapal also crossed his finger at Elon Musk, saying that “he seems to be appropriately forgotten that he was an unfathomable immigrant.”
The MP was probably related to the Washington Post report from October 2024, which claimed that Musk worked briefly to the United States illegally in the 1990s. The billionaire rejected a report in the post on X, saying that he had a “J-1 visa that switched to H1-B”.
In a recent interview, Jayapal strayed the president Donald Trump claiming that “everyone who is unfathomrated criminal is.” The MP insisted that the statement was “just not true”.

The White House made it clear that it was going in the other direction from the Administration of Biden when it comes to illegal immigration.
In January, when asked about the criminal status of illegal immigrants who detained the ice, the press secretary of the White House of Caroline Leavitt said that “all of them were” criminals because they “illegally violated the laws of our country.”
“If they violated the laws of our country, yes, they are a criminal,” Leavitt said when he was pressed again to that question.
