Bryant shared the photos of the moment Washington gave his life to Christ in a Facebook post.
“We celebrate the addition of Minister Denzel Washington to the priesthood, after he received his official license today at the Church of God in Christ, in a truly uplifting moment,” the post said.
“He’s dressed like that because he received water baptism in the same service,” Bryant added. “Both the baptism and licensing took place at the historic Kelly Temple in New York, a place close to his heart. Denzel Washington attended this church as a child and testified that he was filled with the Holy Spirit after visiting another church with actor Robert Townsend in the 80s .”

“I don’t care what anybody thinks. Look, when we talk about the fear part of it — you can’t talk like that and win an Oscar. You can’t talk like that and party. You can’t say that in this town,” Washington added.
“I’m free now. It’s not talked about in this town. It’s not talked about. It’s not talked about. It’s not hip. It’s not sexy. But that doesn’t mean people in Hollywood don’t believe. There’s no such thing as called Hollywood anyway. What does that even mean? It means a street called Hollywood Boulevard,” he wrote.

However, Oscar-winning actor not sure how many other actors believe in God.
“It’s not like we all meet somewhere and discuss what we believe. So I don’t know how many other actors have faith. I didn’t do a poll. How would I know? I mean, there’s no church actor Meetings I’ve been to.”
