A car manufacturer Zeekr and autonomous driving technology Waymo has joined forces to create a revolutionary autonomous vehicle designed specifically for driving services.
The result of this collaboration is Zeekr RT, the first worldwide produced, deliberately built an autonomous vehicle, which is now ready to deliver WayMo for robotaxes testing.
This partnership combines Zeekr’s expertise in the production of electric vehicles with Waym’s advanced self-employment technology.

Exterior Zeekr Rt. (Zeekr)
Zeekr rt is equipped with an impressive string of 13 camerasFour Lidar units, six radar sensors and external audio receivers, securing a 360 degree environment. In order to maintain optimal performance in various weather conditions, Zeekr RT has a specially designed system that will maintain its sensors clean. This custom cleansing system includes small wipers and spraying the nozzle nozzles for the windshield wipers, especially created by Waymo, to ensure a clear visor of cameras and LIDAR sensor. Robotaxi -an advanced sensory package provides fields that overlap around the vehicle, acting effectively both day and night.
At the heart of the autonomous capabilities of Zeekr RT is NVIDIA’s AGX Thor System-on-A-Chip The first car manufacturer In the world to integrate this top -notch autonomous ride chipset. This powerful AI platform is capable of up to 2500 teraflopa performance, combining various intelligent functions such as automated ride, parking, traveler monitoring and infotainment into one architecture.

Passengers will find a spacious cabin with a completely configured interior, which can be adapted to the specific requirements of Waym’s driving service. Zeekr RT was built on Zekro’s platform for the architecture of sustainable experience (SEA) and contains 800V Ultra-speed filling of e -wertrain, showing the latest progress in electric vehicles.
What is artificial intelligence (AI)?

Traveling from concept to production was quickly and impressive. Zeekr RT was designed and developed in Zeekr’s R&D facility, CEVT (China Europe Technology Vehicle) in Gothenburg, Sweden. Waymo tested the prototype versions of Zeekr RT on public roads in San Francisco and Phoenix, with people’s safety drivers at the helm. Mass production of Zeekr RT should start later this year, with initial delivery of WayMo for further testing and validation.

While Waymo prepares to integrate Zeekr RT into his commercial fleet, the future of autonomous riding services in riding looks promising. Waymo plans to implement these vehicles at his Waymo One, which currently operates in selected cities like Phoenix and San Francisco. After thorough testing, Waymo wants to manage these vehicles in a completely driver without a driver, marking a significant turning point in autonomous transportation. The introduction of an economical and passenger vehicle could give Waym a competitive advantage on the growing Robotaxi market.

Zeekr RT is a pretty big deal in the world of a car that rides on its own. It’s okay to see car and technological companies as they join. As these robotaxes headed to the streets for testing, let’s peek into how traveling in the city could look in the near future. Of course, there are still some rush on the road, but Zeekr RT is definitely pushing us closer to the world where calling the cabin for independent ride is as normal as the pizza ordering.
