An American citizen who allegedly carried cannabis rubberies was detained at the airport in Moscow, Russian the media reported.
The 28-year-old American was detained at the Vnukovo airport on February 7th after discovering something in his luggage with the Russian federal customs, the Russian news agency Tass said.
He arrived in Russia through Istanbul.
The American State Department told Fox News Digital that he was aware of the report on the detention of the citizen and had no further comment.

“Chemical analysis has discovered the presence of intoxicating substances from the cannabinoid group,” the customs office reported, said Tass, adding that the man claimed that his American doctor had prescribed tires.
He was accused of smuggling into the ground and could face five to 10 years in prison, Tass reported.
Marc Fogel, an American citizen who was detained four years ago on a drug charges in Russia, was released on Tuesday in exchange for Russian prisoner Alexander Vinnik, who was detained by the US Government on charges of fraud of the Kripto currency.

Vogel’s plane safely landed in the US on Tuesday night.
Fogel, a history teacher From Pennsylvania, he served a 14-year prison sentence after his arrest in August 2021 at the Russian airport for drug possession, for which his family said that medically prescribed marijuana was medically prescribed.
