One of the most powerful personalities of US law enforcement is Manhatton’s top federal prosecutor New York City Mayor Eric Adams has left the Trump administration after the order.
According to a person familiar with the issue, Daniel Sassun, a senior prosecutor who took over as US attorney for the southern district of New York, resigned.
Sassun has grown for more than nine years at the Manhattan US Attorney Office, which has been accused of stealing billions of resources from the clients of the Cryptocurrency Exchange, the founder of the FTX, Sam Bankman-Frees, founder of the FTX.
The US judiciary ordered the Manhattan office to close the case against Adams, who was charged with the contribution of illegal foreign propaganda last year and for the Turkish government for government favor.
Adams said earlier, “I follow the rules of promotion and I follow the law.”
The US Securities and Exchange Commission, who led the US Securities and Exchange Commission, was nominated to lead the Manhattan Prosecutor office during the first Trump administration but the US Senate was not yet confirmed.
