Former porn star calls on adult websites to make age verification ‘mandatory’

Former porn star-turned-pastor Brittni De La Mora is calling for age-verification laws to be made “mandatory” to “protect children” as Florida implements legislation on the issue in January.

Pornhub will soon be unavailable to users in Florida after the Sunshine State introduced a new age-verification rule for access to adult sites. Effective January 1, 2025, the age verification rule is linked to state HB 3a measure aimed at protecting minors on the Internet.

Pornhub’s parent company, Aylo, stressed to Fox News Digital that it supports implementing effective age verification, just not specifically the way the Florida law is designed, saying other media outlets have incorrectly reported that it does not support age verification at all.

In response to the measure’s specifications, Aylo decided to halt access to the adult site in Florida, saying in a statement that the collection of “highly sensitive personal information” put “users’ safety at risk.”

“Protecting children is in no way a violation of your First Amendment rights.
