Missile launched in Israel from Yemen struck Tel Aviv overnight Saturday, resulting in minor injuries to 14 people, according to Israeli officials.
The Israeli military said after sirens sounded in central Israel that a missile had landed in Tel Aviv southern area of Jaffa after failed interception attempts.
“Following the sirens that went off in central Israel a short while ago, one missile fired from Yemen was identified and unsuccessful attempts to intercept it were made,” the army said on Telegram.

Iran-backed Houthi rebels have repeatedly launched rocket attacks from Yemen into Israel since the war in Gaza it began in October last year, but the overnight incident represents a rare case in which Israel has failed to intercept.
Israel retaliated by attacking multiple targets in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen.

“A short time ago, reports were received of weapons dropping in one of the settlements in the Tel Aviv district,” Israeli police said on Saturday.
On Thursday, the Israeli military said it had intercepted a missile fired from Yemen, with shrapnel that caused extensive damage to a school near Tel Aviv.
