Sports fans almost everywhere watching “Jeopardy!” on Thursday night they were probably screaming at their television.
The “Final Jeopardy” clue was “Super Bowl History,” and while sports are almost never an area of expertise for competitors, this clue was pretty simple.
“It’s the only team that played in the Super Bowl before Neil Armstrong’s moonwalk and hasn’t been back to the big game since,” the clue read.

There weren’t many options to choose from, as only five teams played in the Super Bowl from 1967 to 1969: the Green Bay Packers twice, the Oakland Raiders, New York Jets (answer) and the Baltimore Colts.
However, the contestants were totally taken aback.
The first contestant revealed that his answer was the Cleveland Browns. You can’t blame him, but since they never even appeared in the Super Bowl, it was incorrect.

The second, however, can only be the most confusing answer, as Eric wrote “Giants”. They, of course, have been at five since 1986, and they got two against the New England Patriots. wrong
The final contestant also went with a team that had never been to a Super Bowl, writing simply “Houston,” even though the city had hosted three Super Bowls.
Ken Jennings added a ton of misery to the Jets.
“The Jets have a pretty tough 55-year streak,” Jennings said.

That streak will be extended this year, as they have officially been eliminated from playoff contention, and it looks set to continue for at least a little while longer.
