From Manny Delgado: David Benavidez (30-0, 24 Kos) completely exceeded David Morrella (11-1.9 Kos) in almost one-sided Beatdova on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, providing that it was a better two Davids.
It doesn’t mind Morrecal, who looked out of Tunenimes as if ready to get out of there, but sticks to the impressive beard and fired with his own combinations, occasionally pushing the tempo.
Most of the fan predictions were that this struggle will end in favor of benefit of benavide. Very little has seen the possibility of Morrella that lasts the distance despite its one-time power of who. It can be easily attributed to Morrell simply does not have more fans, but it actually did the survivor. He even appeared in the last two rounds in the last two rounds, showing benavide in the 11th round. It was probably the flash, but the one who still set fire to the “Mexican Monster”.
However, this round advantage was quickly deleted with docking points when Morrell hit the benavide after the bell. It was a heated exchange on which the benavide was fired, a long combination was fired. Morrell only reacted to the blured verdict to the function of bunner and frustration, but did it too late. Maybe it was a world on Saturday night El Monster, but Morrell has proven to have a huge potential, and it is simply due to lack of experience that the struggle was consistently as unilaterally as it was.
Benavidez may not be an elite fighter such as Artur Beterbiev or Dmitry buffalo, but at a high level, the relentless pressure was too for inexperienced Cuban to handle. Morrell will practically allow Benavidez to unload full combinations, which benavidez shines, the engine is more and more strokes that he unloads.
Morrell ate a few solid shots in the process before he shot at the end of Benavidez comboses with his. Benavidez has gone as many times, pulls keeping and finding the house to land on filled left hooks.
Occasionally, Morrell would even make it out between some benavide blows, but it was not enough to distract Benavidez to continue applying his pressure forward.
Morrell is a decent counter-peacocker. However, such as a fighting fan that does not fav or fighters and simply enjoys the good fight, it was frustrating that it could not use his abilities to counter the flow of the Benarious combinations. He showed signs that he could have been so occasionally, but not enough often.
He was too intimidated by the results and combinations of benavide to do so, becoming that gun in the process. Admittedly, it’s easier said than done. His lack of experience, with only 11 professional struggles before benavide, you could say that the contribution factor was. Morrell, never fought with someone with Benavydez style, was another factor that contributes.
If they are 11. and 12. The car was any sign of potential struggle, instead, you could effectively say that it would be a completely different struggle that would be much closer to those repaint cards or a clear victory of Morrella. So Morrell founded his presence in the way he did as opposed to his passive defense approach with occasional bursts.
Final results read 115-111, 115-111 and 118-108 in favor of benavide unanimous decision. He successfully retained his VBC temporary belt and won the VBA title. Morrell used what many fighting fans considered a bad game plan. However, it was an extremely fun struggle that lived to the hype. Morrell undoubtedly earned many new fans last night and it proved that, despite the lack of experience, he is a name for watching.
