Box results: Benavidez survives Knockdown, claims victory over Morrel

The VBC temporary 175-lb-lb-a-holder David Benavidez took a lot of punishments, but beat, the best ‘regular’ Champion Champion David Morrell David Morrell with a 12-round unanimous decision on Saturday night in T-Mobile Arena in the Las Vegas. I got it 8-4 for Morrella. He won eight rounds and lowered the benavide. It’s not a shock that Benavidez gave victory. It is very popular in Las Vegas, but did not do enough to win real sense, if we are fair.

Knockdown and penalty

Benavidez was demolished at 11. round the sparkling right hook in Morrella. However, at the end of the round, the Judge punished Morrella because of the hitting after the bell. It was a strange move by the REF that raised some eyebrows of fans.

As most fans boxes would expect, Morrell landed harder, cleaner shots all night, as again and again in Benavidez’s head. As in his debut 175. year last June, Benavidez showed Zero strength and had to focus on the volume of hitting to compensate for it. Still, Morrell’s strength shot was more than enough to win it round.

Channels and judges

What was funny was that Benavidez had a trunk practically nipples, and a judge did not order him to pull them at the level of waist in which they were meant to be. I couldn’t believe it. As Tyson Fury wears his trunks and escapes with it.

Things like that were to be solved during the fight, not a benavide that have that advantage. We saw that the bread was injured in its previous fight against Oleksandra Gvozdik.
