One of the presidents Donald Trump Top congressional allies introduced a resolution Thursday night to give the commander a third term.
Rep. Andy Ogles, R-Tenn., is pushing a new constitutional amendment that would give the president three terms in office, but no more than two consecutive four-year terms.
The amendment would say: “No person shall be elected to the Office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after having been elected to two consecutive terms, and no person who has held the office of President or acted as President, more than the two-year term for which another person was elected will be elected to the Office of the President more than twice.

The 22nd Amendment, ratified in 1951, prevents a person from serving as president for more than two terms.
Adopted by Congress in 1947 in response to Franklin Delano Roosevelt, he won four terms in the White House. Roosevelt died a year after being elected to his fourth term in the 1944 presidential election.
But in a statement released to the media Thursday, Ogles said Trump “has proven himself to be the only figure in modern history capable of reversing the decline of our nation and restoring America to greatness, and he must be given the time necessary to accomplish that goal.”

“To that end, I am proposing an amendment to the Constitution to revise the restrictions imposed by the 22nd Amendment on presidential terms,” Ogles said. “This amendment would allow President Trump to serve three terms, ensuring that we sustain the bold leadership our nation so desperately needs.”

Earlier this month, Ogle discovered the account for Authorize Trump to enter into talks to buy Greenland after expressing interest in doing so.

The Greenland Great Act would authorize Trump to enter into negotiations with Denmark over the purchase of Greenland, a territory located in North America but with long-standing cultural and geopolitical ties to Europe.
