Passengers evacuate plane on snowy tarmac amid storm

A Delta Airlines flight from Atlanta, Georgia to Minneapolis, Minnesota was grounded shortly after takeoff due to “symptoms of engine trouble,” the airline said.

Passengers were forced to divert the plane onto a snow-covered tarmac during the storm.

At least four passengers reported minor injuries and one was taken to hospital. The Federal Aviation Administration said it would investigate the matter. More than 2,600 flights across the country were grounded Friday because of the storm.
