“The irony of the progressive promises given in this city is clear. New Orleans handed over the keys to those who were vowed to keep criminals out of prison, and unfortunately, today we see that it worked,” Landry said during a press conference on Sunday night. “I hope everyone understands that a video of these prisoners who avoid abolishing the progressive criminal system.”

During the press conference, Landry announced an executive order to audit the Orleans Remedial Object by the State Ministry of Repair (DOC) and the removal of all DOC prisoners from the local prison. He shared another order that directs the state inspector to work with the Sheriff of the Orleans Parish to list all prisoners who are waiting for the trial and those who are waiting for a sentence to weigh.

Ten prisoners escaped on Friday night from the Orleans parish facility, captured in prison surveillance recordings. Authorities say they crawled through posture hidden behind the toilet.

The prisoners were allegedly scared and then jumped by a barbed wire fence in prison and crossed the highway to the neighborhood before changing.

They left messages, including “up to light lol” and “we innocent” on the wall next to the hole through which they fled.

Authorities believe that escapes had the help of someone in prison and that a female civilian employee who supervised the pod “stepped down” to get food, missing the escape.

Seven fugitives still on the run are Jermaine Donald, 42; Antoine Massey, 33; Leo Tate, 31; Lenton Vanburen, 27; Derrick Groves, 27; Gary Price, 21; and Corey Boyd, 19.

Donald and Boyd both faced second -degree accusations.

Donald is also charged with a difficult battery, possession of firearms or weapons with a misdemeanor and obstruction of justice. Boyd’s second charges tried to kill second -degree, worse battery, illegal wearing weapons involving a crime and the obstruction of justice.

Miles and Vanburen were faced with a battery charge employed in a remedial facility, among other crimes.

Groves declared himself guilty of murder in October and was waiting for a sentence in prison.

“If he had been convicted by the court system, he would probably not have had the opportunity to escape,” Landry said during his press conference.

Authorities warned that escapes may have traveled to other countries. The $ 20,000 bountization was put on the head.

“We had soldiers who work together with our local state and federal partners throughout the night and develop more potential clients,” Louisiana state police told Fox News Digital on Monday morning.

FBI did not return the comment request.

ATF refused to comment.
